Janis C. Grose, 85, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2022. Born on March 19, 1937, in McDowell County, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Dual and Ruth (Hill) Higgins.
Janis was a member of Victory Life Church, New Haven, and retired as an LPN after several years of service at Christian Care Nursing Home. She is survived by her sons, Benjamin Grose, Gary (Katy) Grose, and John (Mata) Grose; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Carlos (Kathryn) Higgins, Owen (Connie) Higgins, David (Norma) Higgins, and Gerald (Kathy) Higgins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Benjamin Grose; son, Steven Grose; and sister, Doris Kessinger.
A funeral service to honor Janis' memory will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Victory Life Church, 1502 Rose Ave, New Haven, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 3:00 to 6:00pm on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the church. She will be laid to rest in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Arrangements have been entrusted to D. O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave, Fort Wayne.
