Jean Marie Smith, 81, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2022, at her residence. She was born October 9, 1940 in Harvey, West Virginia, to the late Frank and Viola Williams.
She retired from St. Joseph Lutheran Hospital as a nurse. Her final church home was True Love Baptist Church. While a member of various clubs and organizations throughout her life, she devoted most of her time and energy to two groups. Jean was a very hard worker for the Democratic Party. She was a devoted member of the Cosmopolites Business and Professional Women’s Club.
Jean is survived by her sister, Neal Viola Williams (Melvin) of Pearisburg, Virginia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many people who hold her dear in their hearts.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Alversa Doretha Holland, Osa Callown, Wert Williams, John Williams, Cecil Williams, Walter Williams, Harold Williams, Clarence Williams, and Marva Richardson.
She will truly be missed by family and friends. We love you Jean Marie Smith of Harvey, West Virginia, and Fort Wayne, Indiana. May you forever “Rest in Peace”!
