Jeanette Westerfield Sauer

Jeanette Boyd Sauer, 79, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday January 9, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born September 1, 1933, in Danville, KY, she was a daughter of the late Verna and Luther Westerfield. A member of Abundant Life Church, she worked for Aveys Grocery, until they closed, then for Krogers, until they closed, then she went to work for McKesson Environmental Systems, and then retired from Safety Kleen, in Elgin Ill., before moving back to Fort Wayne for retirement. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Buryl Sauer, her children; Dick (Virginia) Sauer, Jennifer Stith, Ned (Debra) Sauer, and Jonathan (Nancy) Sauer, all of Fort Wayne, as well as 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and sister Naomi Sauer, of Ocala, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister; Norma Webb, and grandsons; Scott Sauer, and Kayden Stith. Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Monday, January 14, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne Street, Fort Wayne. Entombment will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Calling will be held from 4 to 7 PM Sunday, January 13, at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Foundation
