Jeff Richard Barker

Jeff Richard Barker, age 63, of South Whitley, Indiana passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022. He was born November 28, 1958 in Defiance, Ohio to the late Jess Barker and Ann VanWagner and grew up with limited means on the family farm. Jeff loved the outdoors, and dreamed of owning a fancy mobile home on a few acres in Kentucky or Tennessee. He was a generous man of strong conviction and faith, read the Bible, and devoted his life to his children and grandchildren whom he loved dearly; Jeff would literally give the shirt off his back if needed. In the words of his daughter, "I might be biased, but I do not believe there is no greater man in the world than my father, he was the kindest man alive." Jeff is survived by his children, Craig (Kasey) Barker and Rachel Barker; grandchildren, Mackenzie Igney, LaTicia Barker, Gabriela Martinez, Raelynn Barker, Bentley Barker and Bristol Riegling; siblings, Susan Kellogg, Karolyn Winebrenner, Mary Hall, and David Barker. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Quinn Barker. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 at 11:30 am, Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Mungovan, 2114 S. Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, Ind. with calling beginning at 10:00 am. The celebration will continue, following the service, at Comfort Suites South, 5775 Coventry Lane, Fort Wayne, Ind.
