Gerald “Jerry” Guernsey, 87, of Fort Wayne passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Sunday January 22, 2023. Jerry was born in Toledo in 1935 to Raymond and Ruth Guernsey. He served in the United State Air Force and Air National Guard. Jerry was a proud graduate of Toledo University and was a member of the SAE Fraternity. He served as a National Sales Manager for several companies before starting his own company, Centrum Marketing Services in 1986. Jerry and his wife, Donna, worked in the business until their retirement in 2005. He was very active at his church, Trinity Episcopal, where he volunteered and served on the Finance Committee for many years. Jerry thoroughly enjoyed traveling and exploring the world. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Jennifer Lepper; stepson, Greg (Janie) Chess; 5 grandchildren, Jeremy, Jake, and Janna Lepper, Zach and Katy Chess; 5 great-grandchildren, Khloee, Tripp, Cooper, Hayden, and Maddax; brother, Raymond (Kay) Guernsey; nephews, Greg (Gayle) Guernsey and Don (Beth) Kaltenbach; and niece, Karen (Andy) Ayres. Preceded in death by his wife, Donna; parents; and sister, Julie. Funeral service is 11:00 am Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 611 West Berry, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46802 with visitation one hour prior. Preferred memorial to the Spiritual Wreath Fund at Trinity Episcopal Church.
