Jerry E. Werling 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018. He was born on September 17, 1938 to the late Bud and Alretta (Ewing) Werling in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Jerry received a Bachelor’s Degree from IU then going to work for Lincoln Life Insurance Company for 32 years, later retiring from there. He loved to participate in water sports and shooting trap and skeet. He was an IU Alumini. Jerry loved traveling to Florida as a snow bird with his wife of 59 years. He is survived by his wife, Dee Ann (Arthur) Werling; sons, Scott (Donna Arnold) Werling of Cromwell, Indiana, Phillip Werling of Fort Wayne, and Jeffrey (April) Werling of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Kristine (Tyler) Brannan, Camaron (Lisa) Werling, and Katheryn Werling; great- grandchildren, Aiden, Evelina, Frances, Alex, Christian, and Shelby. He is preceded in passing by his brother Richard Werling. Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Thursday, January 3,2018 at the Grace Point Church of the Nazarene Church 8611 Mayhew Road Fort Wayne 46835, with visitation 2 hours prior. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
