Joan Baker, 85, of Fort Wayne, died in peace on Sunday, April 12, 2015. She was born to the late Ralph and Gladys Walter on April 15, 1929 in Mount Cory, OH. She worked for Avon for over 45 years. She was an animal lover, enjoyed gardening and was a member of the GE ELEX Club . She is survived by her daughters Janet (Tom) Converset and Diana (Frank) Shepler; sons Kirk Baker, Timothy Baker and Larry Baker; grandchildren Michelle, Chris, Nick, Stephanie, Michael, Sarah, Rachael, and Jacquie; 20 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 42 years Gilbert P. Baker. A funeral service will be held at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St. on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 2pm with calling 11am – 2pm. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens.
