John R. Schultheis, 79, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 3, 1944, the son of Louis and Catherine (Baker) Schultheis. He married the love of his life Judith Biberstein on November 7, 1964.
He lived in Fort Wayne his entire life and was a graduate of Bishop Luers High School. John got his start in the grocery business and then went on to be a franchise owner selling Pepperidge Farm products for 54 years. John was a born salesman that loved to talk to everyone.
He is survived by his Wife Judith (Biberstein) Schultheis; three sons, Phillip (Louise) Schultheis, David (Denise) Schultheis, and Scott Schultheis; grandchildren, Katie (Tyler) Mitchell, Michael Schultheis, Audrey (Sam) Morken, and Jacob Schultheis; Great-grandchildren, Calvin, Madeline, and Vincent; sisters, Catherine Ann (Paul) Arnold, Joan (Michael) Klein, and sister-in-law Lucia (Talarico) Schultheis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis & Catherine, and brother Stephen Schultheis.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00pm, Thursday, July 13, 2023, at St Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 4 to 7pm, Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, with a Rosary Service at 4:00pm. Memorial donations may be given to Dignity for Haiti, 2065 West Blackberry Trail, Warsaw, (Indiana, 46580-6134), or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
