Jonathan Thomas Phillips, 28, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2025 at Stillwater Hospice, surrounded by family and friends. He was born to Larry and Susan (nee. Wissler) Phillips on January 4, 1997 in Hamilton, Ohio.
He graduated Valedictorian at Pioneer High School – Royal Center, Indiana Class of 2015. Later in 2019, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Robotics from Trine University. Jonathan worked as a mechanical engineer for L3 Harris until his untimely passing. He was a runner and enjoyed playing with his dogs, Luna and Maple; loved 3D printing, traveling, playing Disc Golf, hiking and spending time with his family. Jonathan was owner of Phillips 3D Printing. He served as percussionist for several churches and most recently at Cedar Creek Church.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Nancy Phillips and maternal grandfather, John Benjamin “Ben” Wissler.
He leaves to cherish many memories to his loving wife, Abby; parents, Larry and Susan; brothers, Matthias (Phillisha) and Caleb (Nikole) Phillips; nieces, Jenavieve, Novaleigh and Emberlynn; paternal grandfather, Thomas Phillips and maternal grandmother, Charliene Sue Wissler; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 18, 2025 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes – Pine Valley 1320 E. Dupont Rd. (46825) with visitation two hours prior. Visitation will also be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
