Joseph F. Hofer, 92, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Hospice Home. He was an Army Veteran and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He retired in 1980 after 40+ years with Zollner's. He is survived by daughter, Judy (Dean) Burmaster and daughter-in-law, Diane Hofer; both of Fort Wayne; three grandsons, Kirk A. Smith, Benjamin D. Hofer and Jonathan D. Hofer; five great grandchildren and brother, John Hofer, of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy M. Hofer, in 2010 and son, Daniel Hofer. Funeral Service is 11:00 am Friday, June 3, 2011 at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. with calling one hour prior. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
