Joe was a great friend and a wonderful Cousin, I heard many stories about him , coming to visit me when I was just a baby . Truly enjoyed spending time with Joe when I would stop into Sloan's and talk about our family. Joe...I'll miss our visits & talks. My thoughts & prayers are with Barb & your family. I will truly miss you, God Bless.

Barb and the Sain Family:
I am so sorry to read about Joe. He was such a gentleman and great co worker at Sloan's. He was always so helpful when someone needed assistance. I also remember walking by your home on my walks and stopping to visit with you. May God give you comfort and strength at this time. He will be missed by all who knew him. God Bless.

Just wanted to say thank you Dad. For welcoming me to the family and loving me without fail. For making me laugh til I cried, and even for making fun of me when I couldn’t figure out one of your magic tricks. Thank you for your support and understanding. Thank you for teaching me the belly button blues, how to make a proper pot of coffee and countless other tidbits. Most of all, for being the perfect example of a Dad. I love you, always.

Barb and family. I cannot begin to express my deep sorrow as I grieve with you all at this time. I mourn the loss of Joe, but I’m grateful he is no longer suffering and beyond my grief I’m rejoicing you are with Jesus. I will never forget your heart for people, your quick wit. The ability that you had to “turn that frown upside down,” regardless of who it was. I appreciate all of your wisdom, I could never forget your jokes and your infectious laugh. I could never forget your words of wisdom whether Jodi and I were coming, going, playing the music too loud or just being ourselves. I had a great model in the Sain household with Barb and Joe. Thank you for loving me, my family and for loving me as one of the gang all this time. I love you and I will miss you. What a blessing you were to your family, friends and all who knew you. To the Sain family, my deepest love, sympathy and prayers during this time. You are so loved and cared for. Here is a picture of Joe holding my DJ when he was about ten months. It’s a favorite picture, Joe had a beautiful spirit and just wanted everyone to laugh! Thank you for the wonderful memories, we love you always!
