Julia Ann Harter, 65, passed away August 30, 2024 at her home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born January 19, 1959 in Fort Wayne, IN the daughter of the late Thomas and Rose Freiburger. Julia graduated from Northrop High School in 1977. She worked as a Credit Manager in Texas and locally for Verzion and Kaman Industries. She also worked at McComb and Sons Funeral Homes as a funeral assistant for several years.
Julia enjoyed spending time with her family and baking. She will be remembered for her famous chocolate chip cookies and cheese cakes, made with her special recipes.
Julia is survived by her daughter Mandi (Rob) Walter of Fort Wayne, IN; son Curt (Holly) Harter of Fort Wayne, IN; brothers, Steve Freiburger of Huntertown and Tony (Tracey) Freiburger of Stroh, IN; she also leaves behind 7 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service is 10:00 am, Friday September 6, 2024 at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Homes - Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Thursday September 5, 2024 at the funeral home. Committal and Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
