IN THE CARE OF

D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Covington Knolls

Kathy Lynn Hobbs passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer. She was 77 years old. Kathy’s strength and grace were a testament to her character, and she was deeply grateful for the unwavering support of her family and friends. The compassionate care she received from Parkview Cancer Institute and MD Anderson extended her life and brought her comfort.

Born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri, Kathy attended the University of Missouri and pursued a successful career in retail fashion, where her passion and skills shone brightly. She was known for her kindness, respectfulness, and dedication to her Jewish heritage.

For 52 wonderful years, Kathy was the beloved wife of Donald R. Hobbs. Together, they reared two children, Trevor and Jennifer, and she was a devoted mother-in-law to Jamison Smith. Kathy’s commitment to a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Annette. She is survived by her husband, Don; her son, Trevor; her daughter, Jennifer Smith; her son-in-law, Jamison Smith; and her cherished grandchildren, Alexah, Braeden, and Camden Smith. She will also be missed by her loyal dog, Mocha.
