Obituary of Kenneth Allen Schenk
Kenneth Allen Schenk, 60, of Fort Wayne, and formerly of Woodburn, IN, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. Kenneth was born April 17, 1960, in Fort Wayne and was raised in Woodburn, IN. He was a son of the late Kenneth M. and Bonnie Schenk of Woodburn, IN. Ken graduated from Woodlan High School in 1978. He received his Associate of Science degree in operations supervision from Indiana University, "with distinction", in 1981. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in 1984. He also received his Doctor of Jurisprudence Law degree from Indiana University School of Law in 1988. In 1989, Ken was admitted to the United States of America Southern District of Indiana Bar and admitted to the Supreme Court of Indiana Bar. Ken received the Outstanding Academic Achievement in Operations Management Technology Award in 1981. He received the IU Student Service Award for Exceptional Service to the IU Student Body in 1983. Ken served on the IPFW Board of Governors and served as the Student Body President. Ken was the NE Regional Director for the US Senators, Lugar and Quayle. He practiced law for 32 years. Ken's motto was: "provide affordable and responsive legal services for the good people of this region". Ken is survived by his sister, Debra (Schenk) Dawson of Decatur; brother, Ray (Brenda) Schenk of Woodburn/Fort Wayne; two aunts; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Celebration of Ken's life is Friday, October 30, 2020, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Come 2 Go Ministries and Music Hall, 323 West Baker Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
