He was a graduate of IPFW earning his Master’s Degree in Education and was an Elementary Teacher at Abbett Elementary in Fort Wayne where he was loved by all of his students and colleagues. Kirk’s two loves in his life were his shelties, Nana and Dodger. He was a Master Gardener and loved being outdoors tending to his flowers and plants, he was also a die-hard fan of the L.A. Dodgers and the Detroit Red Wings.
Kirk is survived by his brother, Tom Shuster, (wife-Debbie); and two sisters, Gayle Shuster and Cathy Verhest.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Betty (Behrman) Shuster; and his loving wife, Elizabeth (Pflieger) Shuster.
A memorial service for Kirk will be held at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1505 Bethany Lane, Fort Wayne, IN on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. with calling one hour prior to the service.
