He graduated from South Side High School in 1963. Larry proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1965 - 1969. He worked at General Electric for over 15 years before retiring.
Larry was a longtime member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Fort Wayne.
He was an avid Indianapolis Colts and Indiana University Sports fan.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Lee Myers of Fort Wayne; brother, Steven (Susan) Myers of Columbia City, IN; grandchildren, LaKeshia (Kristopher) Underwood, Kala Myers, Keyanna Myers all of Fort Wayne, IN; DaJuan Myers of Greenwood, IN; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Theone Myers.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am on Friday, November 21, 2025, officiated by Pastor Douglas Punke, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the funeral home. Committal and burial along with Army Honors will be at Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
