Lillie Ann Mills, 89, of Columbia City, Indiana, formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Ann was born on November 4, 1935 in Lynville, Kentucky. She was extremely proud to have participated in a number of sports, most of all basketball at Cottage Grove High School. Early in her career, she worked at Magnavox, but she primarily spent her time caring for and raising her family. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, quilting, sewing, and painting. She also loved animals. Surviving family include her children, Cynthia (Mike) Huffman, Sylvia Springer, Ron (Ann) Mills, Patricia (Tom) Tuttle, Ken (Carrie) Mills, and Nora (Rich) Hively; 16 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren with one on the way, and six great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her parents, Lexie Ward and Sunshine (Andrus) Sweet; her husband, James R. "Buddy" Mills; and a son-in-law, Terry Springer. A private family service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials in her memory may be made to Humane Fort Wayne or Parkview Hospice.
