Mark E. Gotsch

Mark E. Gotsch, 70, of Fort Wayne passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019. He was born on April 9, 1949 in Fort Wayne. He graduated from Indiana University, Bloomington. He worked at Lutheran Hospital for 40 years working as a medical technologist. He was an elder and sang in the choir at Peace Lutheran Church where he was a member. He liked being outdoors and hiking. He greatly enjoyed volunteering three days a week in the 2nd grade classroom at Lutheran South Unity School and teaching the children new things. Surviving family include his wife, Diana Gotsch, daughters, Audrey (Christopher) Chapin, Julie (Brian) Bauer; his mother, Betty Gotsch; six grandchildren, Elias, Zachary, Amelia, Jonah, Elijah, and Bridget; and five siblings, Dr. Gary (Debbie) Gotsch, Don (Diane) Gotsch, June Daly, Keith (Susan) Gotsch, and Cheryl (Rex) Hazelet. He was preceded in passing by his father, Marcus Gotsch. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Peace Lutheran Church, 4900 Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Rd., Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church or Lutheran South Unity School.
