Martin W. McCullough, 66, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away at Lutheran Hospital on November 16, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. Martin, fondly known as Marty, was born to John and Eileen (O’Connell) McCullough on May 27, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois. Growing up, he was a talented athlete who most enjoyed playing baseball and football. He was an equally talented student, earning Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering and Business from Baylor University and Illinois Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Duke University. Marty had a nearly forty year career at his family’s crane company. His favorite role throughout his life was as a family man. Marty was a loving son, brother, husband, dad, uncle, and grandpa who spent countless hours coaching youth sports and cheering on his kids and grandkids. He also had a soft spot for his furry friends, treating each dog and cat like the valuable family member they are. Marty will always be remembered for his sense of humor, character, and kindness. He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Reneé (Lowe), five children, five grandchildren, four siblings, mother-in-law, many more in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, beloved dog, and six grandpets. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law. To honor Marty, his family will host a celebration of life from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Greenlawn Funeral Home 6750 Covington Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804, with a time of sharing beginning at 3:00 pm.
