"Aunt Janie" also had a younger brother named Lawrence, my father,  whose existence, for some reason, has been ignored by his sister and brother for all of my adult life.  The last time I saw "Aunt Janie" was when she attended my wedding.

I remember visiting "Aunt Janie" and Uncle Joe many times as a child when they lived in Columbia City.  The "big" 2-story house with the wooden staircase that came down into the kitchen (I think).  I also remember my cousins, Dede and Veronica , who are several years older than myself visiting our home in Kokomo during their college years.  Thought it was cool they could sit around the kitchen table and drink cocktails with my parents.  I can still remember the car they were driving.  Wow...the things you remember from childhood!

My dad told me that "Janie" was a great sister and they were close all of their lives. I will remember her chicken and noodles. The best!
