Melinda Ann Quick

Melinda Ann Quick, 42, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025. She was born on December 8, 1982 in Kokomo, Indiana to Ron Quick and Cheryl (Norris) Lackey. Melinda had varying interests and ambitions in life. She was a full time mom of three children who loved to brag about their accomplishments and talents. She was a wife of 16 years to a man she often said would drive her crazy, but she wouldn't have it any other way. Melinda became Gam Gam to her cherished granddaughter. She was fierce about her family and pushed those around her to be their best selves. Melinda graduated with an honors, earning an associates degree in Criminal Justice. She was proud of having been the first in her immediate family to have graduated college. Melinda also enjoyed music, attending concerts, watching movies, driving just to explore somewhere new, and the art of tattoos. She made friends everywhere she went and had an infectious sense of humor. Melinda is survived by her husband, Arron Frederickson; children, Mackensie Quick, Gabriel Quick, and Adrian Frederickson; granddaughter, Oaklynn Quick; parents, Mark & Cheryl Lackey; siblings, Jennifer, Timmy, Lana, Vanessa, Darrin, Christina, and Carrie; and best friend, Amanda Naragon. She is preceded in her passing by her sister, Trina (Norris) Dillard. Visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Mungovan & Sons, 2114 South Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46802.
