I have known Mike and Cindy for almost 40 years.  I knew Cindy first from our "Wendy's" days, then I got to know Mike.   They were a great couple and my wife and I loved spending time with them.  Mike was one of the nicest people we knew.  Mike's passing is a tremendous loss and we will miss him.

Dear Cindy and the entire Ryan Family,

I was shocked to hear of Mike's passing and I understand the deep pain and grief that you have been engulfed by. I am so very sorry you are hurting from such a great loss. I hadn't seen Mike for many years, but I was one of the Huron Street neighbors who knew and loved the vivacious Ryan Family and saw all the Ryan kids grow up to be amazing adults. While the sting of his death is prevalent, I also believe that he is holding you all close with his loving presence and brand-new angel wings. 

You will be kept in our prayers for comfort, for quiet moments as you recall the happy memories of shared times with him, and for the peace that comes in knowing you will be together again someday in God's Heaven, where Mike will always be at your side.

Cindy,  we were so sorry to hear of your loss.  Our love and prayers go out to you and Mike, Jr.    We always enjoyed running into you and Mike at Meijer and catching up.  Ed enjoyed working with Mike at McCoy all those years.  He was a great guy and will be missed and always remembered as a true friend.

I worked with Mike as his Team Lead at Chick-Fil-A and he was always a joy to have in. He’d always ask Cindy what position I had put him on and would always get excited when I placed him on buns. He was a great guy, so much so, that some of us kids at work called him poppop and Cindy, nana. Mike loved bringing in treats for us that he’d baked himself and had even promised me he’d bring in something for me because I had missed both times he bought cupcakes. My next pastry I dedicate to you, Mike. We miss you and love you! - Alexus/Lexi

I am so grateful for the 24 years I got to have you as my Papa. I thank the lord above for letting you be here to meet all of the girls, they just love you so much. You will be and are already so deeply missed by us all. 

Ever since February 11th all I can do is replay memories in my head over and over. I will always cherish those nights you’d have us 3 kids help you in the kitchen & we would each get to make our own dessert (of course with your guidance). All of the baking you taught me, I will always carry that with me & make sure to teach the girls just as you did me. 

I giggle just thinking about all those mornings us kids got to ride in the back while you & nana did your paper route. I think about the laughter that filled the room at holiday’s from us all as we played the “gambling” game you taught us all. And how most of those times, you would end up with a sleeping baby in your arms and you LOVED it every time. Those times brought you some of the biggest smiles. 

You were always so quick to help someone, you put everyone before yourself always. That is one of the many things I will always admire about you. I miss you papa, and there will never be a day that goes by where I won’t ask God why? I love you, and I hope you’re up there in Heaven finally getting to relax.

Mike Ryan was one of the greatest men that I had ever met in my entire life I met him while working at McCoy bolts and he was always helpful was always in a good mood would always laugh and would always go out of his way to tell everybody in the plant good morning how are you  he was a great person and he's going to be missed terribly terribly missed rest easy mike hope to see you again someday

I’ll always cherish those nights you’d have us 3 kids in the kitchen with you and we’d each get to make our own cake/brownie in a mug with you. Always knew to count on one of those for Christmas every year. 

Or all the times us kids would get to ride with you & nana while you did your paper runs. Fishing in the pond out back. All the summer nights playing out back when we lived with you and nana. We knew we could always count on you to be there for us whenever we needed it. Now it’s our turn to be there for Nana. 

I am so thankful my girls got to meet their great-papa and they enjoyed every second they got to spend with you. We all miss you so much, my heart will have a little crack forever. I love you papa & I pray heaven is nothing but amazing for you. I’m visioning all the coors light cans right now.
