I was so sorry to hear of your loss, and had so much wanted to drive over to Fort Wayne for the service. My special memories of Nila go way back to South Wayne School, where she was my kindergarten teacher! (which was probably why I almost always called her Mrs. Armstrong!) And then there were the years of swimming at Pocahontas and lifeguarding/coaching at Lake Forest, with her sharing lots of smiles and encouragement! I was so glad to have a chance to be re-united with her and the family, during Bob's funeral... special hugs for a special family in my life! May the Lord comfort you all as you share wonderful memories with one another. With love and prayers...

Was not able to attend the service but have been thinking of your family at this time.  So many fond memories of our parents get togethers and always a fun time when us children got to join in.  Never a dull moment!!  They certainly enjoyed life to the fullest!! :)

Nila, my precious Godmother, I love you and thank you for all you have done for me.  No one could have been blessed with better, more loving Godparents than I was with you and Bob.  I will never forget your support in 1989 (only you and I know), and you will be with me in my heart and prayers forever.  Boys and Bev, my love to you, as well.

Nila was a wonderful person who touched so many people. I will always hold the fond memories of the many things she did for me through my life.

Nila was a dedicated republican volunteer, advisor and friend.  I will forever cherish her support, guidance and keen insight!
