Norman retired from The Adroit Company after 38 years of service. He is survived by his son, Frederick (Nancy) Burkhalter; daughters, Connie (Sheldon) Likes, and Sondra Miller; a brother, William Burkhalter. Also left to cherish his memory are 9 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Burkhalter; son, Larry Burkhalter; and a sister, Esther Weeks.
A funeral service to honor Normans life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. A calling will also be from 2:00 to 4:00 pm & 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Lindenwood Cemetery.
