Oscar David Walker

Oscar David Walker, of Fort Wayne, Indiana was age 84 when he passed from this life on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Oscar was born in Brooksville, Mississippi, a son of the late Bevil and Beatrice (nee. Harris) Walker. He was a Mason and Army Retired Master Sergeant, having served in Vietnam and in Desert Storm. Oscar had attended Jackson State College and was an Industrial Arts Teacher subbing for the East Allen County School System for many years. Oscar was a member of Union Baptist Church and later became a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church until his untimely passing. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruby Womack Walker in 2019; a sister, Mattie Walker; brothers, Willie Walker and Johnny Walker and nephew, Kenneth Henley. Left to cherish many memories and continue his legacy are his daughters, Debra "Debbie" Walker and Rosalind "Renee" Walker; three grandchildren, Alicea Pulinario, Miles Walker and Maegan Walker; a brother, Isaac E. Walker and sister, Mary Henley; a nieces, LaTonya Walker; nephews, Isaac E. Walker, Jr. Lenard Henley; other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church 3506 Oxford Street (46806) with the Rev. John Minion officiating. Visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial will follow in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
