Pauline Loretta Young

Pauline Loretta Young, 94, of Wells County, passed away February 23, 2016 at Coventry Meadows. She was born April 30, 1921 in Fort Wayne to the late Cosie C. and Bessie R. (Prather) Martin. She married Frederick Young October 12, 1940 and he preceded her in death October 23, 1999. She worked at many different jobs throughout her life, such as working for her father at the Zanesville Creamery while she was still at home to folding linens in Siesta Keys in her later years. Her other work includes: working in the family business, Young’s Implement Store, cooking at Lafayette Central School, packing doilies at Royal Lace, packing and sorting peanuts at Wayne Candies, cooking at the Crow’s Haven, and working at the golf course snack bar in Manatee County, Florida. Surviving are her children, Tom (Connie) Young of Fort Wayne, Jerry (Marguerita) Young of Taos, NM, and Joyce Denney of Fort Wayne; sister, Shirley (Phil) Husband of Fort Wayne; brother, Larry (Edie) Martin of Ossian; five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Martin, Ronnie Martin, and Herbert Martin; sisters, Imogene Deam and Ruby Rhodes; and granddaughter, Lisa Young. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 1:30 PM at Hoverstock Cemetery, Zanesville, IN.
