Phyllis L. Foster, 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away March 13, 2013 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home. She was born on April 8, 1924 in Bluffton, IN to the late Jessie “Roy” and Verga (Smeltzer) Elzey. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing piano and the organ while singing hymns. She also loved visiting with people. Surviving family include her husband of 71 years, Robert Foster of Ft. Wayne; son, Dennis L. Foster of Ft. Wayne, daughter, Carol (Fred) Raleigh of Ohio; grandchildren, Tina Marie Baxter, Jeremy Shawn Foster, Brandon James Foster; great grandchildren, Raegan and Reed Baxter; and brother, Lowell Elzey of Bluffton. Funeral service will be 10:00 am on Monday, March 18, 2013 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Ft. Wayne. Visitation will be from 2-6 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian. Memorials may be made to Hospice Home, Ft. Wayne.
