Phyllis J. Hart

PHYLLIS J. HART, 87, of Fort Wayne, Ind., passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018. Born on July 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Howard "Carl" and Viola Jacobs. She married her late husband, Thomas Wayne, on Dec. 2, 1950 and was a life-long member of Trinity English Lutheran Church. She graduated from South Side High School in 1948 and Indiana Business College. She was an active volunteer in her daughters' schools and the church. Phyllis is survived by Pemila (Mark) Fowler, Betsy (Ted) Gilliom and Susan Frisch. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sally Hart. Service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018, in the Bohn Chapel at Lindenwood Cemetery, 2324 W. Main St., with visitation one hour prior. Service will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Kathleen W. Haller. Preferred memorials are to Trinity English Lutheran Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
