Phyllis L. Long

Phyllis L. Long, 97, passed away March 20, 2018 at St. Anne’s Home. She was born in Roann, IN on May 11, 1920, the daughter of the late Abraham and Nellie Miller. She was a dedicated member of Grace St. John's United Church of Christ. She is survived by her children, Douglas R. (Susan) Long, and Deborah E. (Frank) Ladd; grandchildren; Melissa (Jeremy) Lessing, Molly (Andrew) Beachy, Adam (Samantha) Ladd, Emily Ladd; and great-grandchildren, Levi, Lena, Emery, Nora, Lorelai, Madelynn, Zachariah. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell D. Long; great-grandson, Graham Lessing; and siblings, Gene and Robert Miller, and Mildred Eller. Private family burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, IN. The family would like to extend a special thank you for the compassionate care Phyllis received from the staff at St. Anne’s Home. Memorial contributions may be to Grace St. John’s United Church of Christ. Arrangements entrusted to D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Chapel.
