Regine Kowald Arney of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Parkview Hospital. She was born on August 12, 1940, in Magdeburg, Germany, and was the only child of Werner and Wallie Kowald. In 1965, she immigrated to the United States of America and raised three sons in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Regine worked at the Marriott Hotel for 20 years, Don Halls Factory for 7 years, and Parkview Hospital for 20 years. Regine enjoyed Classical European opera and attending the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren, dedicating her life to ensuring that no one went without. A truly incredible woman, Regine beat the odds and never quit.
She is survived by her oldest son, Dean White Arney; her grandchildren, Richard Dean Arney, Vanessa Kay Arney, and Paulinea Mae Arney; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Bryan Werner Arney, who passed away on December 10, 2010, and Scott William Arney, who passed away on September 6, 2020.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, January 24, 2025 at St. Jude's Catholic Church 2130 Pemberton Drive Fort Wayne, Indiana 46805, with visitation one hour prior.
