
Richard V. Armstrong, 85, of Fort Wayne passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017. He was born on May 26, 1932 in Paulding, Ohio, a son of the late George and Margurite (Zuber) Armstrong. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years during the Korean War. He worked at Tokheim for 38 years, many as a supervisor in the paint division before retiring in 1992. After retirement he enjoyed being at his home on Clear Lake and fishing. He also enjoyed dancing, bowling, being with his family and singing with the Pokagon Pitch Pipers. He was a member at Clear Lake Lutheran Church and Concordia Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. Surviving family include his children, Deborah Flohr, Vicky (Terry) Waterhouse, Terry (Mary) Armstrong, Cheryl Polley, Nancy Cochrane, Joe Armstong, Michelle (Tim) Kimes, David (Michelle) Armstrong, and Kim Braaten; 21 grandchildren, Peter, Elizabeth, Duke, Colton, Teryn, Justin, Ben, Kevin Charles, Jason, Josh, Joanna, Joey, Madline, Hanna, Grace, Caleb, Joseph, Matthew, Johnny, Noah, Ezra, and many great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret A. Armstrong. Memorial service will be 11:00 am on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 4245 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Inurnment along with military services will follow at 12:30 pm at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, Fort Wayne are handling arrangements.
