RICHARD VINCENT "RICK" BECRAFT JR., 57, of Fort Wayne, died on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016. Born April 30, 1959, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Richard Sr. "Dick" and Patricia (Fischer) Becraft of Fort Wayne. "He was a wonderful loving son, brother, uncle and great uncle whom will be missed by all who knew him." He was a graduate of Purdue University with a Master of Science in Computer Engineering. He was employed by IBM as the ground space shuttle software engineer for NASA and former employee of Transworks and IPFW professor in Computer Science. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Also surviving are his sisters, Karen (Dennis) Myers of LaOtto, Ind., Kimberly Wiseman and Cheri Brooks, both of Fort Wayne; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials to the American Heart Association or the National Down Syndrome Association.
