Rick was an active and devoted member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, as well as an avid golfer, bowler, and board gamer. Rick was a graduate of Northside High School and proudly served his country in the US Army, including a tour in the Vietnam War. After his military service, he returned home and worked at Lincoln National Life and Swiss Re where he would remain for over 40 years.
Rick is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Rose (Egts), his daughter Rhonda (Bill) Berg, his son Rob (Nicole), his grandson Dominic, his brother Alan, nieces Andrea and Angie, and nephew Adam.
Rick was preceded in death by his father Robert, his mother Helen (nee Gillespie), his stepfather Ed Crist, and his sister Barbara Schmidt.
A Funeral Mass for Richard will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Catholic Cemetery.
