Richard C. Sebold, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at Coventry Meadows. Born Nov. 14, 1923 in Fort Wayne, IN, he was the son of the late Harry and Lillian Sebold. He graduated from South Side High School. He then served in World War II in the Army Air Corp. He attended Purdue University for two years and then went on to the G.E. Apprentice Program. He worked for General Electric for 43 years as a unit manager. He was faithful member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. “He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, who enjoyed all of his time with them.” Surviving are his wife, Elinor (Harman) Sebold; daughter, Kaylene (Ron) Wannemacher; son, David (Joy) Sebold; granddaughter, Kristine (Ken) Lawrance; grandsons, Andrew Sebold and Jeff Bredemeier; great grandsons, Joshua and Jacob Lawrance. He was preceded in death by first wife, Margaret (Kienzle) Sebold; his parents, step mother, Lee and twin brother, Ralph. Funeral Service is 11:00am Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson Blvd. with calling one hour prior. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. Burial in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
