Robert "Bob" Ray Stone

ROBERT "BOB" RAY STONE, 76, of Fort Wayne, died on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016, at his residence. Born June 24, 1940, in Greenwood, Miss., he was the son of the late H.R. "Billy" Stone and Margrete (Mitchell) Stone. He served in the Army and was an electrical contractor for Bob Stone Electric. He was a member of Waynedale Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening. Surviving are his daughters, Tracy Stone (Lee) Russell of Artesia, Miss. and Sherie (Bobby) Dillion of Roanoke, Ind.; sons, Robert "Bobby" Ray (Julia) Stone Jr. of Angola, Ind. and John "Britt" Stone of Bluffton, Ind.; daughter, Shawn E. Stone of Fort Wayne; sister, Martha (Jack) Beckman of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two stepchildren, and three step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Stone. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, at Klaehn, Fahl, Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Wayne Gullion officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Waynedale Baptist Church or the NRA.
