Roger P. Greiner

Roger P. Greiner, 82, of Fort Wayne passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. He was born on June 3, 1939 in Fort Wayne, a son of the late Harold F. and Ruby A. (Moser) Greiner. Roger was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy and retired from Zollner Piston after 30 years. Roger was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. Roger was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and classic cars, and loved animals. He enjoyed watching and feeding birds and squirrels. Surviving family include his sister, Rosalie Greiner; children, Douglas P. (Trish) and Brian P. (Jaimee) Greiner, Kelly J. (Kent) Wine, and Shelly A. (David) Keith; three grandchildren, Eric (Sydney) and Megan Wine, and Austin Anderson; and two great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Vicki P. (Deahl) Greiner. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at D.O. McComb and Sons – Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Fort Wayne Humane, Visiting Nurse, or Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.
