Ronald Dean Hite, age 79, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital. Ronald was born October 20, 1942, in Huntington, Indiana, to the late Dean Wendell and Sarah J. Hite.
Ron was employed by NABISCO for 25 years. He and his wife, Mary Jane, were the owners of Lexy's Pizza at Leo Crossing. Ron was an avid beekeeper and a member of "Master Gardener" and "Auburn Shifters Car Club." He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Jane Hite; one son, Bradley (Brandi) Hite of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Kathy (John) Reed of Churubusco; one sister, Carol (Barry) Leiter of Roanoke; and two brothers, Richard (Linda) Hite of Fort Wayne, and Joe (Judy) Hite of Arizona. To carry on his legacy he also leaves four grandsons, Baylen Hite, Boden Hite, Bryden Hite and Parker Reed.
A funeral service to honor Ron's memory will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, May 13, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. A visitation will also take place from 4:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Highland Park Cemetery.
