Ron had many hobbies and talents along the way. From a young age he enjoyed bowling, winning many trophies, patches and tournaments. He relished every chance he got to go fishing. Starting with going to Bixler Lake with family, to eventually buying a house on a lake. He collected NASCAR. Music was a big part of Ron's enjoyment. From DJ'ing for family weddings and get togethers to just collecting any and all types of music. He was very much a people person. Always wanting to see them smile, by telling them a corny story to going out of his way to help them. This was one of his greatest assets when he became a Senior Soldier in the Salvation Army, signing his Articles of War as a young adult.
Ron is survived by his daughter, Naomi Jade Potter and her mother, Kristine; his siblings, Addie (David) Croghan Sr., Melodie (Gary) Alford, William Potter, Anna Potter and Joy (Charles) Campbell; along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
