Rosemary J. Sweet, age 95, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023. She was born October 28, 1927 in Fort Wayne to the late Alphonse and Bernadette (née Fenker) Kleinrichert. Rosemary wed the late Robert Sweet on November 19, 1955. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, shopping and collecting antiques, and cherished time spent with family.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Gina (Jeff) Burtness; two stepdaughters-in-law; four grandsons; great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; daughter, Julie Lynn; and step-sons, Thomas, and Robert "Pug" Sweet.
Many heartfelt thank-you's to the caring and wonderful staff members of Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne and Promedica (formerly Heartland) Hospice for the kindhearted attention shown to Rosemary, as if she were family. The degree of gratitude for their compassion truly cannot be expressed in words and will never be forgotten.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Thursday, August 24 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior, Fr. Thomas Shoemaker presiding. Friends and family will be received from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 23 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Rd with a Recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 PM. Entombment at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
