Roxie Idel (Gaskill-Smith) Knisley,100, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2022. Daughter to the late George and Flossie (Perk) Gaskill, she was born July 10, 1921, in Dixson, Ohio. Formally a resident of Monroeville, Roxie was a homemaker and had several interests and hobbies including planting tomatoes and vegetable gardening, sewing, and watching court television shows. Judge Judy was her favorite. Roxie is survived by her son, Mike (Darlene) Smith; two beloved grandsons, Josh (Cheri) Smith and Jamey Smith; five great grandchildren; many, many great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Roxie is preceded in death by her 12 siblings. A Celebration of Life service for Roxie will be Friday, March 25, 2022, at 1:00 PM, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819, with visitation two hours prior.
