Sharon E. Stefanski, 85, passed away at Life Care Center of Fort Wayne on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Born at home in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on January 10, 1940, to parents William and Arba June (Russle) Akers, Sharon was beloved by so many. She graduated from Southside High School in 1958. Sharon married the love of her life Edward Stefanski in 1961, and the two would spend 41 cherished years together before his passing in 2001. Sharon was a devoted Christian and attended Liberty Mills Church of Nazarene. Sharon was a quiet and reserved spirit. She loved to enjoy her free time reading books and playing word searches. Sharon is survived by her children, Yvonne, Mark, Tim, Sherri, and Annette; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters, Linda Wade and Donna Bryant. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Stefanski and parents, William and Arba June Akers. The family will be holding private services for Sharon. She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park 6600 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46807. Because of the amazing and delicate care provided, the family would like to request memorial contributions be made out to Life Care Center of Fort Wayne, 1649 Spy Run Ave, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46805.
