

Shelba Jean Sine, 69, of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024. She was born November 18, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Harold and Betty (née Miller) Stevens.
During her career, Shelba worked at various restaurants and the Ross Training Center.
She enjoyed her time spent at the Adult Day Life Academy, especially reading, math and art.
Shelba could often be found bird watching or enjoying the flowers while sipping a strawberry shake, solving jigsaw puzzles, or playing card and board games . . . rummy and Yahtzee among her favorites. An avid music lover, she was particularly fond of Elvis, Motown and Classic Country and watching episodes of Andy Griffith or John Wayne westerns. Shelba was a proud bowling champion with Special Olympics and articulate in creating colorful expressions . . . most notably, "bullfeathers" and "buggydust".
Shelba is survived by her daughters, Charity (Doug) Johnson and Cathy Sine; grandchildren, Kristen (Jason) Hawkins, Heather (Ricky) Rivon, Taylor (Andrew) Cox, Douglas "D.J." Johnson III and Everly Sine; great-grandson, Jason "Jace" Douglas Hawkins; sisters, Sandra (Bim) Guyton, Grettia Stevens, Ronda Stevens, Deanie Blue Ruby and Peggy (Paul) Botsford; and twenty-four nieces and nephews; fifty-eight great nieces and nephews; and fourteen great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Sonny Stevens, Beverly Jo, and Clarence Stevens.
Celebration of Life is 1:00 - 4:00 pm, Monday, March 11, Sears Pavilion at Indian Village Park, 1701 Bluffton Road, Fort Wayne.
