Stephen Michael Kaufman

Stephen Michael Kaufman, age 23, of Fort Wayne, Indiana was called home by the Lord after a valiant battle with Muscular Dystrophy on Friday, April 1, 2022. He was born February 2, 1999 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Susan Welch and Stephen L. Kaufman. Stephen graduated from Wayne High School in 2017 and loved playing video games, surfing on his tablet, watching movies and listening to music - Grand Theft Auto, The Fast and Furious, and The Unforgiven by Metallica were among his favorites.

Stephen is survived by his parents, Susan Welch and Stephen L. Kaufman; sister, Autumn L. Kaufman; niece, Maliyah; and nephews, Kamarion and Jevar; grandparents, Ethel (Allan) Morrow, Robert Emery, Carolyn (Damon) Leggett; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Stephen had a great life and our hearts were not ready for you to go so soon. We love you, miss you and will forever beyond eternity. Although our hearts are broken, we know you're no longer in pain, at peace and have gained your wings!

A visitation for Stephen will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at D.O. McComb & Sons Tribute Center, 2307 W. Main Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46808. Following the visitation will be a committal service at 1:30 PM at Lindenwood Cemetery, 2324 West Main Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46808.
