Suzanne Marie Mohr

Suzanne “Subee” Marie Mohr, aged 75, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Born on March 10, 1950, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to parents Harold Cole and Phyllis Cooper, Suzanne was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Suzanne married the love of her life, James “Jim” Mohr on June 5, 1992. The two lived 32 fulfilling years together, creating a loving legacy with their two daughters, Lisa and Laura, and grandchildren.

Suzanne was a passionate and creative soul who had a great love in music. She found solace in the strum of her guitar and filled her home with beautiful melodies, singing harmoniously alongside her husband. Her artistic spirit was also expressed in her extraordinary quilting. Suzanne was dedicated to her craft, putting so many well-thought details in each design. She enjoyed the simple moments in life, cherishing the quiet time she got to spend with Jim. Her gentle and kind nature extended to her love for animals, especially her cats. Above all, Suzanne treasured her family. Every memory she made will forever be held close to the hearts she was able to touch in her long life.

Suzanne is survived by her husband, James Mohr; daughters, Lisa Shlater and Laura Memmer; and beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Suzanne is preceded in death by her parents, Harold Cole and Phyllis Cooper.

A funeral service for Suzanne will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 11am, with calling one hour prior, at Advantage Funeral Home – Highland Park 2403 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46825. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested to donate memorial contributions to the Humane Society 901 Leesburg Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46808.
