Thomas Gordon was born June 24, 1944, to the union of Percy Gordon and Earline Gordon in Mississippi. The family moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1952 where he grew up loved along with his many brothers and sisters: Percy Jr., Lovie Butler, and Robbie Hall who preceded him in death; and Ruby Gordon, Johnny Gordon, Clarence Gordon, Evester Gordon, and Herman Gordon.
Thomas Joined the Army where he served his country during the Vietnam war. Tom also raised four children: Thomas Gordon Jr., Jermaine Gordon, Durante Gordon, and LaCrystal Gordon. He was employed by General Motors in both St. Louis, Missouri and Fort Wayne, Indiana from which he retired after 37 years of dedicated service. Even after retirement, Thomas stayed busy with tax preparations, hours of yard work, and countless visits with friends and family. Throughout Tom’s life he made a multitude of great friends and his generosity and kindness shaped the lives of many. Most importantly, Thomas leaves behind an enormous legacy of love.
A small family service will be held in St. Louis, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
