Our #1 Tom Koch (4/13/1929-11/9/2021) has been reunited in Heaven with his bride Marie. Dad was the second youngest of eight kids (Evelyn, Ruth, Elmer, Genevieve, Bernard, Richard, Tom, Mary Lou) all born in Cleveland, Ohio. On his way to serve in Korea, he met Marie by chance in Oakland, CA. Upon his return, they married on Thanksgiving Day 1953. Dad’s sales career took him to Hawaii; Cleveland, OH; Wheaton, IL; St. Louis, MO; Houston, TX; and Fort Wayne, IN. Mom and Dad were incredibly blessed to have seven amazing children (Steve, Karla, John, Mary, Dave, Jenny & Janet), 16 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.
Mom and Dad raised us kids mostly in Wheaton, IL where many of their best friendships and memories were made. In 1998 Mom and Dad retired to California, where they first met. In 2008 they moved to Fort Wayne to be closer to family.
Dad was a friend to everyone he met!
