Tonya Jolean Wright

Tonya Jolean Wright, a cherished, compassionate, and humorous soul, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the age of 52. Born on January 31, 1973, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Frank Leroy Hollen, Jr. and the late Debbie Thomas-Parish.

Tonya was known for her patient and kind-hearted nature. Her early education was through Fort Wayne Community Schools and North Side High School. She was the manager of Mr. Coney for 13 years.

Tonya met Donald Allen Wright, and they were bonded in holy matrimony on September 6, 1997.

She leaves to cherish many precious memories and to continue her legacy to her loving and devoted husband Donald of 29 years; a daughter, Samantha (Zach) Slatton; sons, Dustin Thomas and Christopher Wright (Alexus); and nine grandchildren, Cruz, Ayden, Myah, Graesyn, Nyeelah, Milana, Dustin Jr., Mia, and Stella. She is also survived by her sisters, Marie Abplanalp and Lorie (James) McCullough; a brother, Frankie Hollen; her aunts, Brenda (Mike) Brockway, Pamela Thomas, Paula Brockway; and an uncle, Steve Hollen, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Tonya was family-oriented, selfless, thoughtful, giving, caring, loving always enjoying shopping, Tanning, being outdoors, scary movies, taking pictures, crossword puzzles, listening to all kinds of music like Country, R&B and Rock. But most importantly she loved spending time with her family, especially babysitting her 9 grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 3:00 pm. Thursday, February 5, 2026, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, (46805). Visitation will be from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
