VELMA J. ROBERTS, 91, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Velma worked along side her husband as a Real Estate agent with Roberts Realty. She enjoyed playing golf at the Elks; volunteering at the Turnstone Center and the American Red Cross; and playing in many bridge clubs. Surviving are her sons, Thomas (Marjorie) Roberts of Carmel, Ind. and Michael (Barbara) Roberts of Columbia City, Ind.; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Roberts; parents, Samuel and Luella Neher; one brother; and one sister. Service is 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with calling from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Turnstone Center.
