Victor A. Bowers, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2011 at his residence. He was born on November 27, 1926 in Big Run, PA to the late Clyde E. and Edna (McQuown) Bowers. He worked for the Plumber and Steamfitters, Local #166. He served as a 1st class signalman for the L.S.M 284 in the Navy during World War II. He enjoyed carpentry, photography and enjoyed flying his airplane. Surviving relatives include his wife of 60 years, Lucille (Feipel) Bowers; sons, Michael D. Bowers, Edward A. (Karen) Bowers all of Ft. Wayne; sister, Marian Williamson of Grove City, OH; and a niece and two nephews. A funeral service will take place at 10:30 am on Monday, February 28, 2011 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Calling hours will also be on Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 1-5 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home or St. Therese Catholic Church.
