Willard "Will" E. Doehrman

Willard "Will" E Doehrman, 92, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023. Born on November 19, 1930, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Herman and Martha (Fischbach) Doehrman. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, as well as a proud graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School, and Valparaiso University. He retired in 1995, after 42 years as a Math Teacher, and Basketball Coach at Montpelier High School (Ohio); Arcola High School; Leo High School; Northside High School, and Wayne High School. He spent his summers teaching driver's training, coaching Connie Mack Baseball, co-directing the Fort Wayne Basketball School, and golfing with his buddies.

He is survived by his wife of more than 68 years, Beverly (Bechtol) Doehrman; daughters, Kimberly (Phillip) Fleming, Kelley Doehrman, and Kacey (Steve) Van Wyngarden; grandchildren, Heather (Maureece), Andrea (Mario), Zach (Joy), Matthew (Alisha), Erin (James), Bethany, Ryan (Claire Sank), and Katelyn; and great-grandchildren, Cierra, Kimarrah, Ariyah, Amaria, Nadia, Matthew Jr, Nolan, Jayce, Aidan, and Elijah. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Vern Doehrman, Bernice Peck, and Dolores Bates.

Funeral service will be 11:00am, Monday, June 12, 2023, at Concordia Lutheran Church, 4545 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2 to 6pm, Sunday, June 11, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Concordia Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne or to Worship Anew.
